On the First Day of Christmas, the Students Gave to Thee The Habit of Awareness

...to Comfort Brothers and Sisters Around the World

Tarzana Elementary School students in the Habits-of-Heart Club sent gifts to fire victims and to wisdom exchange partners abroad. Their action came at the end of an in-depth effort to apply the habit of Awareness to the needs of animals, families, homeless people and refugees of all kinds.

The children led a school-wide movement to gather clothing for evacuated or refugee children. They studied nesting birds and the hierarchy of short- and long-term needs.

They also created messages of comfort to send on pillow cases to distant members of their human family. They hope these in the hope these wisdom exchange partners will also apply awareness of the needs of others--and share their stories, in return.

As we highlight 12 of this past month's project reports, consider how much your contribution catapults not just one child's strengths but the capacities of the societies in which they serve.

Please help sustain their efforts to foster a generation of true change agents.
